Efficient programming and teaching of DENSO robots

ArtiMinds – Alternative solution to DENSO´s programming software WINCAPS III and programming in PacScript

The standard programming language to programm DENSO robots is PacScript. Older robot models are programmed in PAC. DENSO also offers the offline programming software WINCAPS III, which can be used to create robot programs and simulate them on a PC.
ArtiMinds RPS software offers an intuitive programming approach that seamlessly combines online and offline programming, supports all common robot manufacturers and also acts as a central interface to integrate camera systems, grippers, force-torque sensors or PLCs without additional effort.
To program and teach DENSO robots, ArtiMinds is therefore a real alternative to manufacturer-dependent software solutions such as WINCAPS III. Programming is always based on native PacScript code.

DENSO offers SCARA, 5-axis and 6-axis robots as well as collaborative robots and uses more than 20,000 robots in its own production. In the field of small industrial assembly robots, DENSO is the market leader. To simplify the programming of DENSO robots, the company offers its own offline programming software, WINCAPS III, as well as numerous other software packages and tools compatible with its standard controllers.

ArtiMinds software solutions support all DENSO 6-axis robots with RC8, RC8A and RC9 controllers. Thanks to their compact and lightweight design, DENSO robots are very versatile, i.e. can be used for both simple pick-and-place applications and more complex tasks such as fully automated production of filled medical syringes.

In order to implement more complex sensor-adaptive applications, the integration of camera systems, electrical grippers or force-torque sensors is necessary. ArtiMinds already contains the protocols and drivers of all well-known manufacturers. This eliminates the high integration effort and you remain flexible in your hardware setup. Additional software such as RC Vision from Denso for vision applications is therefore no longer required.
With over 60 templates, ArtiMinds’ library covers far more program templates and applications than WINCAPS III, so you can program any kind of application in a user-friendly way only by drag & drop, i.e. without writing PacScript code.

ArtiMinds Robotics - Simplify the programming of your Denso robot with ArtiMinds RPS

How does ArtiMinds support the efficiency of your DENSO robot?

To get the most out of your DENSO robot, ArtiMinds offers two approaches – ArtiMinds Robot Programming Suite (RPS) and ArtiMinds Learning & Analytics for Robots (LAR).

ArtiMinds Robot Programming Suite (RPS) combines as robot programming software both online and offline programming in an intuitive way to solve challenging robotic tasks of your DENSO robot without writing a single line of PacScript source code. Integrate end effectors, force torque sensors, vision systems and PLC communication to create flexible automation solutions.

The automatically generated robot code runs directly on the DENSO RC8, RC8A and RC9 robot controller – ArtiMinds RPS requires no additional hardware.

ArtiMinds Robotics - ArtiMinds RPS as an alternative to the Denso programming software WINCAPS

With ArtiMinds Learning & Analytics for Robots (LAR) you get detailed insights into the production processes of your DENSO robot. Based on ArtiMinds RPS, live sensor data from the robot, force sensor, vision system and end effector are automatically transferred from the RC8, RC8A and RC9 robot controller. The sensor data is automatically annotated and permanently stored in your internal database. Analyze this sensor data using various KPIs and graphical evaluations. In this way, you are able to easily monitor production, analyze robot movements and optimize your DENSO programs.
