Dr.-Ing. Sven R. Schmidt-Rohr
CEO, Co-founder Finances, communications, sales, personnel, research collaborationsSven received his Diplom (~M.S.) in Computer Science (CS) from University of Karlsruhe (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT) with distinction (summa cum laude) and was awarded for one of the two best Diplom theses of the CS faculty in that year. He received his Dr.-Ing. (~Eng. PhD) in intuitive robot programming from KIT with distinction (summa cum laude) and was awarded for the best scientific PhD thesis of the CS faculty in that year.
He started as an undergraduate research assistant in the field of intuitive robot programming at the chair of Prof. Dillmann in 2002 and dealt with that topic ever since.
Svens interest in entrepreneurship started early, with some activity already in the dot.com era (1999-2001) - but focussing on robotics ever since 2002 - thus he leads the finance and networking activities in the team.
Dr.-Ing. Rainer Jäkel CTO, Co-founder Technology, strategic product planning, patents
Rainer received his Diplom (~M.S.) in Computer Science from KIT with distinction (summa cum laude) and his Dr.-Ing. (~Eng. PhD) in intuitive robot programming also from KIT with distinction (summa cum laude).
He started his endeavour into intuitive robot programming with hobby projects on the educational humanoid robot Bioloid in 2006 and joined the chair of Prof. Dillmann as an undergraduate research assistant in 2007. Ever since he was involved in pushing the technological boundaries of robotic manipulation and effective means to generate as well as execute respective task models.
He is responsible for the core algorithmic technology as well as adaptation of the algorithmic technology to industrial needs. Furthermore he oversees the patent strategy.
Dipl.-Inform. Gerhard Dirschl
COO, Co-founder Operations, software engineering, Q&S, customer projects, ITGerhard received his Diplom (~M.S.) in Computer Science from KIT.
He was an undergraduate research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dillmann since 2008, dealing with intuitive robot programming and robot task models ever since. His vast knowledge about software development and IT in general guarantees the team to create robust, maintainable, stable, portable and yet cutting-edge products.
Consequently, he is responsible for defining software engineering, software engineering process, quality assurance as well as release and service procedures and oversees individual projects.
