Company
The major hurdle for broader and more versatile utilization of industrial robots in manufacturing, logistics and many other application domains is lack of flexibility and accessibility. Software plays a crucial part regarding the easy operation of industrial robots, in particular making them perform complex tasks in a robust, sensor-adaptive manner.
Who We Are
ArtiMinds Robotics GmbH is a company from Karlsruhe, Germany, in the field of robotic manipulation. Filling the gap between the latest research on autonomous robots and classical industrial robots, ArtiMinds specializes in extremely fast and intuitive generation of complex, sensor-adaptive motion programs for robot arms, grippers and tools.
We have put the latest technologies in machine learning, motion planning and motion control for robotic manipulation into a robust, easy to use and widely applicable software product. It allows to push industrial application of robotic manipulation towards small lot sizes and processes with significant variance.
Our proprietary technology consists of a powerful, general representation of flexible robotic manipulation tasks as well as versatile methods to generate such task models from diverse, intuitive inputs. Embedded into the RPS product, it makes new robotic applications accessible for profitable industrial use. Fast, focused development cycles continually expand the range of products to bring benefits to ever more application types.

Our History
-
2015
At the beginning of 2015, selected external beta testers use the RPS for real robot applications. After positive feedback, the RPS is ready for general sales. Subsequently, sales of the RPS start in several countries.
-
2014
Public world premiere of a demonstrator of the RPS software and its capabilities at Automatica 2014. Despite being only 11 months old and still in semi-stealth mode, ArtiMinds is chosen by a robotics industry expert jury for the 2nd Place in what they considered the most promising robotics startups up to 3 years old as recognized by the ESA BIC Start-up Award
-
2013
The founders realize the commercial opportunity for some aspects of intuitive robot programming concerning complex industrial manipulation tasks. While winning several awards and scholarships, the company ArtiMinds Robotics GmbH is founded in July and product development for the RPS starts from the scratch.
-
2012
The founders gather extensive experience in robot task model generation on different levels of task abstraction from 2002-2012 as undergraduate and graduate researchers in various national and collaborative international research projects at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Humanoids and Intelligence Systems Lab. A clear understanding about the obstacles and limitations concerning contemporary task models in robotics arises. New ideas are explored and many research prototypes developed and tested on real service robot applications.
