| 2002-2012 |
The founders gather extensive experience in robot task model generation on different levels of task abstraction as undergraduate and graduate researchers in various national and collaborative international research projects at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Humanoids and Intelligence Systems Lab. A clear understanding about the obstacles and limitations in contemporary tasks models for robotics arises. New ideas are explored and many research prototypes developed and tested on real service robot applications. |
| End of 2012 |
The founders realize the commercial opportunity for some aspects of intuitive robot programming concerning especially complex industrial manipulation tasks. |
| March 2013 |
The founders develop a business plan to commercialize certain elements of intuitive robotic manipulation programming technologies. With the business plan and a compact presentation they achieve 2nd place out of 15 preselected, invited teams from all over Europe in front of professional investors at the Entrepreneurship Award of the European Robotics Forum 2013 in Lyon, facing only already established companies in the finals. Subsequently, the founders apply for the German EXIST "founders stipend". |
| July 2013 |
The EXIST founders stipend starts as well as intensive development of a robust product core. |
| July 2013 |
The jury of the CyberLab Karlsruhe startup incubator examines and subsequently welcomes the ArtiMinds team. |
| July 2013 |
ArtiMinds is granted the Innovation grant B hightech of the state of Baden-Württemberg, which supports the acquisition of a complete robotic manipulation work cell for experiments. |
| August 2013 |
The ArtiMinds Robotics GmbH (Corporation) is founded. |
| September 2013 |
ArtiMinds Robotics receives one of four equal main prizes out of 259 applicants at the German federal Founders challenge - ICT innovative awarded by the German federal ministry for economy and technology. |
